Go out and explore Patagonia
Punta Arenas is the starting point for roads and landscapes best enjoyed with your own vehicle.

Torres del Paine
The most famous national park in Chilean Patagonia: the Towers, the Horns, turquoise lakes and glaciers.
From Puerto Natales, take Route 9 and gravel roads to the different park entrances.

Puerto Natales
North along Route 9, the gateway to Torres del Paine, on the Última Esperanza Sound.
Close by is the Milodón Cave, along a road between the steppe and the mountains.

Punta Arenas and the Strait
The waterfront on the Strait of Magellan, the Cerro de la Cruz viewpoint and the southernmost city on the continent.
From here, the road to Tierra del Fuego crosses the Strait.

Route 9 and the end of the continent
Route 9 crosses the Magellanic steppe between Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales: ranches, guanacos and open horizons.
To the south, Route 9 reaches the end of the continent; beyond lie Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia.
